Micro-P appoints general manager for print

Distributor reshuffles print operation with view to expansion

Micro Peripherals has appointed Dan Lenan from Samsung as general manager for its print division.

Phil Brown, commercial director at Micro-P, said the distributor wants to expand its print business. "Lenan has already made a number of significant changes within the team," Brown said in a statement.

According to Brown, Lenan (pictured) already enjoys "a leading reputation" in the industry. Most recently he was European commercial manager for Samsung, overseeing and managing the vendor's NotePC partners in Europe.

Lenan will also work on strengthening "vendor alignment", he said.

Two new print product managers, Lara Jarvis and Deon Denny, have already been hired. Previous print product manager Phil Miller has been promoted to business manager for print.

Four more product specialists are being sought. This will complete the new line-up under Lenan, according to Micro-P.

"We will improve our print offering to customers by building on an already experienced print solutions division, streamlining the commercial structure and increasing the overall skill level of our general sales staff," said Lenan.
