Networking giant calls all UK entrepreneurs to enter its innovation awards and win piles of cash
Cisco has extended the deadline for its BIG Awards to encourage more entrepreneurs and SMBs to enter and show off their talents.
Originally launched on 1 February, the British Innovation Gateway (BIG) Awards are aimed at discovering the best examples of the UK’s most innovative start-up digital businesses and SMBs.
Winners will receive a prize package worth $200,000 (£126,000), made up of $100,000 cash and a 12-month support package covering PR, marketing and legal services.
Runners-up will also receive cash, mentoring and technology to help make their ideas reality.
Set to run for the next five years, and tied in with Cisco’s sponsorship of the 2012 Olympic Games, the BIG Awards are open to all entrepreneurs in the UK over the age of 18, covering five categories: big data, collaboration, future cities, internet of things and mobility.
