Panasonic tempts Toughbook VARs

Vendor rejigs partner programme as it looks for greater share of a growing market

Panasonic Toughbook has taken the wraps off its new Engage Partner Programme in the UK as it looks to grow its share of new and existing markets.

The vendor has signed three UK distributors: Avnet, ETC and Centerprise, and currently has more than 60 registered VARs and ISVs, but is hungry for more.

It has also established an elite tier of Premier Partners, which are entitled to additional rewards, benefits and support once they have met the threshold criteria.

All members of the Engage Partner Programme will receive dedicated support, promotions and rewards to help drive Toughbook sales.

Depending on their level of certification, partners will have access to the Toughbook Engage Partner Portal which offers co-branded marketing campaigns, online product training, MDF, qualified leads, preferential pricing for registering deals, discounted demonstration units and up-to-date product launch information.

Oliver Ledgard, Toughbook partner account manager, said: “We have restructured our approach to put the channel at the heart of our go-to-market strategy. Through our new programme we aim to work closely with our resellers and ISVs to help them confidently take our range of rugged solutions to new and existing markets.”
