Fujitsu extends hardware rebate scheme

Storage, server and PC VARs can earn back-end payouts of eight per cent

Fujitsu server and storage resellers can cash in on rebates of up to eight per cent for the remainder of this quarter after the vendor extended its Pay4Performance reward scheme.

The programme, which covers the Japanese giant's Primergy servers and Eternus storage kit, allows VARs to earn back-end payments of between three and eight per cent, depending on how many sales targets they exceed. Resellers can also offer their clients five-year warranties and up to £200 cashback on certain Primergy products.

Winning new clients through Fujitsu's Bid Desk will also see partners rewarded with vouchers of up to £1,000. Pay4Performance has been in operation since January and has now been extended to the end of June. Fujitsu claims about 200 partners are already taking part in the scheme, most of whom have reportedly qualified for a rebate of some sort.

The scheme is now being rolled out to the vendor's systems channel, with the same rewards and incentives being applied to Lifebook laptops and Esprimo desktops. This programme will operate discretely to the server and storage scheme, with VARs being set standalone sales targets.

Craig Parker, head of product marketing at Fujitsu UK and Ireland's Technology Product Group, said: "Continuing these promotions into Q2 will enable more of our partners to get involved and make more profit, and maintain the pressure on the competition."
