Olympic kayaker professes love for CRN

Tim Brabants MBE grabs copy of his favourite channel rag as he pays visit to our offices

Tim Brabants MBE confessed he is a keen CRN reader when he dropped into our offices as part of his London 2012 promotional activities with Cisco.

After bagging a gold and a bronze in Beijing, the sprint kayaker will be vying for the medals again this summer if his trial events go well.

A buzz descended on Incisive towers yesterday as Brabants showed off his metalic momentos from four years ago and posed for photos. In a surprising turn of events, the three-times Olympian (pictured here with CRN deputy editor Doug Woodburn) grabbed a copy of CRN before confessing he was a fan of everyone's favourite channel rag (apparently, he has a mate who works for Atos Origin). Okay, we're exaggerating, but he did at least know the title.

Brabants was accompanied by a troupe of Cisco staff seeking to raise awareness of the networking giant's involvement in the Games.

Good luck for the summer Tim, we're all behind you!
