Chess welcomes new recruits

April recruitment drive reveals a fine catch of new talent

Chess has taken on a number of new recruits after a major recruitment drive this month.

The acquisitive voice and data VAR has signed eight new starters to its customer service teams: Toby Butterworth, Annabel Hipkins, Scott McNicol, Norman Meredith, Glyn Simpson, Marcus Wheedling, Nathan O’Brien and Jason Woodhouse (all pictured).

Anne Binnie, HR director at Chess, said: “It is our people who make Chess such a great place to work and a great place to be a customer. It is crucial that we recruit for the future and invest heavily in our people to continue the fantastic success we have had over the past 19 years. Our new recruits have an abundance of experience, knowledge and ambition and will be a significant boost in helping to deliver exceptional service to our customers."

Andrew Green, head of performance at Chess, said: “We are always looking for great people who share our passion for customer service. After a rigorous recruitment process it was clear that our eight new people would be a great fit with the culture and values we have here at Chess. We do not want to be known as the best of the best, we want to be known as the only ones who do what we do. All our people play a big part in that goal and help us achieve continued success.”
