VIP Computers appoints graphics card specialist

Warrington distributor VIP Computers has appointed as graphics card specialist David Wright to boost its performance in categories such as gaming.

Dave Stevinson, director at VIP, said Wright, who held a senior sales executive role at Kent distributor Resource Development, has a track record of exceptional relationship development, market and product knowledge.

"Wright (pictured) is a great acquisition for the firm. He will be instrumental in assisting our ambitions as we continue to drive sales into the gaming and enthusiast segment. This is a fast-moving sector in a fast-moving industry," Stevinson said in a statement.

He added that Wright would focus heavily on graphics cards sales, supported by vendors including Nvidia and AMD. VIP offers graphics cards from Asus, Palit and VTX3d.

The distributor has reported a strong quarter year on year, which has enabled it to add resources, indicated Stevinson.
