Logicalis builds Oz presence with Corpnet buy
VAR acquires Brisbane-based datacentre, cloud and managed services specialist for about $2.7m
Logicalis has strengthened its presence in Australia by snapping up Brisbane-based Corpnet in a deal worth about $2.7m (£1.6m).
Corpnet specialises in datacentre, cloud and managed services and will give Logicalis a stronger presence in the Queensland market, primarily in the finance, mining and construction and travel sectors.
According to Logicalis, Corpnet has strong storage and virtualisation expertise and its offerings include cloud-based services to deliver IaaS, managed backup and DR-as-a-service.
It was founded in 2001 and has a turnover of about $20m. it also holds EMC's highest level of certification, along with partnerships with Cisco, VMware, Commvault and Hitachi.
Ian Cook, chief executive of Logicalis Group, said: “This acquisition further enhances our ability to serve the Australian market and complements and augments our managed services business, adding important skilled resources and new cloud-based services, enabling us to deliver a stronger end-to-end managed services portfolio to new and existing clients."
