Avnet launches Oracle mobile toolkit

Distributor claims initiative will help its Oracle partners close datacentre deals more easily

Avnet has opened the lid of its new mobile-enabled toolkit which it claims will help its Oracle partners close datacentre deals quicker and more easily.

The toolkit features a range of product, market and best practice information that can be accessed from any mobile device including smartphones and tablets, Avnet claimed.

Alison Bowen, Oracle programmes manager at Avnet Technology Solutions EMEA, said: "Today’s technology sales teams are constantly on the move and regularly conduct business while at airports, customer sites, conferences and a wide variety of other locations outside of their offices.

Using the toolkit, Oracles partners will be able to consult, document and reinforce solutions sales strategies throughout the entire sales process from almost any location."

Jim Standard, group vice president of global channel sales at Oracle, welcomed the addition.
