ExactTrak injects £475,000 into channel
Start-up says its mobile data security products offers huge potential for the right distributor or reseller
Brit start-up ExactTrak will plough £475,000 into forging a channel for its debut mobile data security product.
Billed as the only USB mobile device that can have its memory turned on and off remotely and be located via GPS, Security Guardian is pitched at firms that need to stay compliant with data-handling regulations.
ExactTrak has now scored £475,000 in funding to develop a channel for the product, which is compatible with all main AES 256 encryption products.
Managing director Norman Shaw said: "We believe that the Security Guardian product offers huge potential for the right distributor or reseller. With the EU regulation set to become much stricter and the inevitable spike in remote working in London during the Olympics, businesses need to put policies and procedures in place to secure their mobile data and they need to do so now."
With Security Guardian sold as a managed service on a monthly subscription basis, Shaw said box-shifters need not apply. The product's back-end infrastructure is hosted by Fujitsu, with which it also has a reseller relationship.
The firm, which has secured international patents via a £60,000 government award, recently inked a technology partnership with government encryption kingpin Becrypt.
