Entando slashes fees for top partners

IBM and Oracle competitor unveils 40 per cent short-term discount for Platinum partners

Enterprise portal vendor Entando has kicked off a UK partner recruitment push with a short-term fee slash.

Between now and the end of the month, partners can sign up to the open-source vendor's Platinum Partnership package for £6,000, a 40 per cent discount on the normal price of £10,000.

Sharmila Wijeyakumar, vice president of sales and marketing at Entando, said the vendor's offering works out at less than half the cost of proprietary rivals such as IBM Websphere, because it is priced by project rather than by user or server.

Entando, which recently launched in the UK and has signed up Linalis as its first local Platinum Partner, is 100 per cent channel focused, Wijeyakumar added.

"We can be deployed alongside a legacy system such as IBM Websphere," she said. "We can extend the portal out to more users at a much lower cost and that is what resellers like about us."

According to Gartner, the enterprise portal market is growing 37 per cent annually and is set to hit $9.9bn (£6.2bn) this year.

Wijeyakumar said Entando had gained good traction in the government space due to its accessibility for the visually impaired.

Entando's top-level Platinum Partnership package includes technical support, sales and technical training, business planning services and PR support.
