All abuzz with new Wasp training for VARs
Auto-ID and mobility player augments office move with additional partner support
Barcode and auto-ID technology vendor Wasp has moved into new, larger facilities and launched a specialised training programme for its resellers.
Hugh Furness (pictured), sales and marketing director at Wasp Barcode Technologies, said the new 5,000 sq ft facility at East Peckham, near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, would have training rooms from which the vendor will run its new partner education programme.
"We started using our new training facility in March," Furness said. "We are training our resellers so they can go and train the users, by searching for the part numbers."
He said the training will also support a swathe of product releases over the next few months, including specialist product for healthcare applications and patient identification, as well as laser scanners and other handheld devices with expanded functionality.
"Our channel partners are going really well," Furness said. "I think we have about 800 which we support and we are trying to build up a top 30."
