Mindjet announces new UK channel manager

Dell man to take the reins for UK sales growth

Collaborative work management provider Mindjet has hired four new channel managers, including one for the UK.

Chris Harman, regional vice president at Mindjet, said 2011 saw the vendor having sustained high growth.

"It is testament to the dedication and expertise of our channel partners. The channel is very important to us and the addition of four new members to our channel team will ensure we continue supporting our partners," Harman said in a statement.

He added that the company saw 19 per cent growth in core European markets in 2011. The UK saw growth of 12 per cent, while the Netherlands and nordic nations enjoyed expansion of 27 and 22 per cent respectively.

The new UK channel manager is Alexis Gorton, who will be responsible for driving growth. Gorton hails from Noble Security Group, where he managed OEM sales, channel sales and sales operations for EMEA. Before that, he spent 11 years at Dell.

The other three hires will cover the channel in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, MEA and emerging markets, and nordic countries.
