Blue Chip HQ reopens to mark 20th anniversary

Hospitality on offer to VAR customers in Dorset

VAR Blue Chip formally opened its refurbished headquarters in Poole, showcasing new training facilities and datacentre services on the eve of its 20th anniversary.

Richard Cook, managing director of Blue Chip, said about 120 people attended the launch of the "completely revamped" headquarters, which also hosted vendor demos and presentations from vendors such as Cisco, VMware, Citrix, Wyse, Toshiba and Dell.

"We would like to thank our partners for their continued support, and we are overwhelmed by what they have done to help us make this event such a success," said Cook.

On top of the physical changes, the distributor has been working to improve services for its customers and keep abreast of the market over the years, he added.

One particular Blue Chip customer, the Crescent Suzuki World Superbike racing team, sent along race rider Leon Camier, and a few attractive friends (pictured, above), to mark the occasion.

David Critchley, managing director of commercial at Cisco UK, formally reopened the offices on the day. "It is a fantastic facility, and clearly in the troubled time we face economically in the UK, it's great to see a partner investing," he said.
