Distribution giant appoints joint leaders of UK Oracle business as it looks to growth

Avnet has appointed new joint leaders of its UK Oracle business as it looks to build on its market share.

Lee Davies and Scott Constable have worked at Avnet for 12 and 10 years respectively.

Davies’ last role was Oracle software sales manager, and Constable has sold a wide range of solutions from vendors such as EMC, Pillar, Nortel and Sun.

The pair will report to enterprise sales director Matt Tedstone and their remit will be to continue to develop Avnet’s new growth strategies and help resellers maximise the sales potential of Oracle’s technology to their UK customers.

In a statement, Tedstone said: “There are significant efficiency and performance benefits to be derived from using Oracle solutions and this presents a huge market opportunity for our partners. I have worked with Lee and Scott for many years. They have considerable depth of Oracle knowledge that will be critical to our success moving forward.
