IP Integration commences shopping spree
Avaya partner gets acquisition ball rolling with purchase of Reading-based integrator Micropoint
Comms VAR IP Integration has made the first in a planned series of acquisitions designed to transform it into a £30m business.
The Avaya, Polycom and Microsoft partner has swooped on Reading-based integrator Micropoint Managed Services and is hungry for more acquisitions.
A VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, HP and Dell partner, Micropoint is billed as a systems integrator and offers management and monitoring managed services under the SmartSource banner.
Formed in 2001 from a management buyout out of Cable & Wireless, IP Integration has set itself a three-year turnover goal of £30m, which will come through a mixture of organic and acquisitive growth. The firm, which has offices in Reading, London, Manchester and Edinburgh, said it is scouting for further conquests with a "high services culture".
Joe Prentis, chief executive of IP Integration, said the addition of Micropoint would allow his firm to act as a single source for unified communications.
"This acquisition allows us to provide an even wider range of services to our existing customers, and an even stronger proposition to prospective clients," he said.
