Timico hunts top MSPs for cloud assault
ISP looks to cement ties with up to 20 leading channel players
ISP Timico wants to recruit a crack team of the UK's leading IT managed services providers (MSPs) to help it make a big splash as an enterprise cloud player.
The Newark-based firm recently launched the Timico MSP Partner Programme and its reseller drive will be headed up by Stuart James, formerly channel boss at Rise. James told ChannelWeb he wanted to bring "up to 20 core partners on board".
"We are going to put our considerable weight behind it and really do it right," he added. "The biggest frustration for a partner is when a vendor dictates how you have to work. We want to create something that is a true partnership."
Partners can engage with Timico purely on a referral basis, host a private cloud environment or deliver end users' IT as a fully managed service.
"We will do as much or as little as they want; we will fill in the blanks," explained James.
Timico claims its ISP background and network clout sets it apart from other cloud providers, pointing to its stable of UK datacentres, including a new £5m facility near its East Midlands headquarters.
