Integralis adds services management muscle

Tom Salkield appointed as director of professional services in the UK

Security VAR Integralis has ploughed on with its services push with the appointment of a former Capgemini director to the position of UK professional services director.

Tom Salkield, who has taken on the role within the past fortnight, replaces Jon Hughes who was promoted to senior vice president of global professional services at the reseller.

Over recent years Integralis has diversified from its roots in product resale to push aggressively into higher-margin activities such as consulting and managed services.

Speaking to ChanneWeb, Salkield said the goal is to continue along that path.

"Managed and professional services are a key area for the company, and my role will involve accelerating growth through this strategy," he said.

Neal Lillywhite, Integralis' UK managing director, said: "Tom has an excellent understanding of the business challenges that our clients are facing and has the security technology expertise to build on the success of the Integralis professional services team."

Salkield added: "There is a phenomenal depth of expertise in this company and I am looking forward to working with the team to help businesses meet their security challenges."

In its last financial year, Integralis' product business fell by 13.6 per cent to €76.6m (£61.3m). In contrast its support services business rose by 4.1 per cent to €67.9m.
