Kaspersky lures partners with promise of Ferrari event

£500,000 race day prize to be awarded to top seller of vendor's new endpoint and virtualisation security products

Kaspersky Lab has launched a rewards programme that will see the winning VAR stage a co-branded Ferrari hospitality event worth a cool £500,000.

Running from June to August, the anti-virus vendor's High Performance Club challenge will see resellers rack up points for pushing Kaspersky's new endpoint and virtualisation security products and attending road shows and webinars.

The winning reseller will bag its own co-branded Ferrari hospitality event at the Silverstone Challenge Series on 16 September, complete with their company logo on the side of a Ferrari race car. The prize, which also includes 25 paddock passes and hospitality and is worth an estimated £500,000 according to the vendor, can be used either as a marketing tool to impress customers or as an internal team incentive.

Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of Kaspersky distributor Wick Hill, said such a prize was only made possible by dint of the vendor's Ferrari F1 sponsorship.

"It's just an awsome prize, as you are badging up a Ferrari race series. This is something to which the reseller can take its top customers and will still be on its website in three years' time."

Pairs of tickets to the Silverstone Grand Prix and London 2012 100m finals are also up for grabs under the scheme.

Andrew Lintell director of corporate sales UK & Ireland, at Kaspersky Lab, said: "This is another great example of how we invest in building strong partnerships that can benefit the reseller's overall business, not just its security revenues."
