LSI launches partner programme
Channel programme aims to double uptake in one year
Storage vendor LSI has detailed plans for its new partner programme, which coincides with the launch of its new range of flash-based storage products.
The Nytro range, which is designed to contend with massive data growth and speed up databases, accompanies the Valued Solution Partner Programme launched by the Californian company.
The programme is targeted at VARs working within the media and entertainment, financial, oil and gas, retail and insurance verticals, explained Thomas Pavel, European director of channel sales at LSI.
He said: "Technical expertise is crucial to us. This is a new programme and a new product so we are looking to work with both our current resellers and new ones. The most important aspect is that they are storage VARs with vertical expertise.
"We are looking mainly at storage VARs because this is a new route to market for LSI. Today we primarily service resellers that develop vertical market solutions."
For Registered partners, the programme offers access to LSI sales support, online training and access to LSI's portal, with competitive intelligence, joint account planning and onsite training thrown in for Preferred partners.
Preferred and Premier VARs could also enjoy additional marketing benefits.
By the end of 2012, LSI aims to have signed up five Premier and 15 Preferred partners, with plans to double that again next year. It hopes to have 100 partners at a Registered level by the end of the year.
