Long-standing CC exec Foxall takes charge at Camwood
Adrian Foxall replaces brother Frank at helm of application management outfit following MBO
Versatile Computacenter director Adrian Foxall is departing the reseller after more than a decade to take the helm of application portfolio management firm Camwood.
Foxall (pictured) has served the Hatfield-based VAR as hardware sales head; networking, security and unified communications boss; director of Cisco and, most recently, as alliances director. Earlier in his career he worked for companies including GE Capital IT Solutions and Canon.
"The timing is perfect to be leading Camwood, with its well-recognised brand," said Foxall. "It has the innovation, expertise, technology and operational capability to help businesses exploit the benefits offered by effective management of applications and new technology platforms such as Windows 7, 8 and the cloud."
City of London-based Camwood sold off App-DNA, an application management software product, in a $92m (£59.1m) deal with Citrix in November. In April, led by Adrian Foxall's brother and outgoing chief executive Frank Foxall, Camwood performed an MBO, buying out long-standing backers Matrix Partners and Foresight Group.
Frank Foxall is now taking on a non-executive directorship of Camwood. His brother has been given the task of seeking out acquisition targets and driving the firm towards its goal of being the UK enterprise market's leading software migration outfit.
Camwood chairman Graham Norfolk said: "Adrian has a proven track record in providing strong leadership, achieving impressive top and bottom-line growth and creating strong cultures. The board and I are very confident that he can add considerably to the commercial momentum that we have established over the past two years."
