Reports: Microsoft to open UK retail outlet in Q1 2013
Software giant could take wraps off flagship UK store early next year
Microsoft is reportedly firming up plans to open its first UK retail store in 2013's first quarter, following the launch of an online outlet this summer.
According to an article in The Verge, the software giant is planning to open the doors of its first UK location in March next year. At its global partner conference in Los Angeles last year, the vendor unveiled plans to open a total of about 75 stores across the globe over the next few years.
Earlier this year Microsoft incorporated the company Microsoft Retail Store – United Kingdom Limited at Companies House. The two named directors of the company are senior Microsoft lawyers Keith Dolliver and Benjamin Orndorff.
