Trustmarque signs £20m deal with NHS Scotland
VAR aims to drive down costs and improve efficiencies across 22 NHS boards
Reseller Trustmarque has won a £20m-plus deal to supply software and services to the NHS in Scotland through the National Services Scotland (NSS) framework.
The York-based VAR also expects to generate additional services revenue on top of the core agreement, which is available to all 22 Scottish NHS boards and their affiliates.
Trustmarque claims its expertise in software procurement and cost-avoidance strategies was key to winning the contract, which follows its deal with Snow Software in February to supply asset management technology to UK NHS trusts.
Mark Garrity, regional sales director for Trustmarque in Scotland, believes the contract was won due to the firm's experience within the public sector.
He said: "The competition was fierce, but I believe our understanding of the specific needs of NHS organisations was a pivotal factor in our success. This contract is significant as it represents the continuation of the long-standing partnership between Trustmarque and NHS Scotland.
"This new contract will enable Trustmarque to extend its reach and help support all the NHS boards with extensive value propositions that are designed to drive down costs, improve efficiencies and help them achieve the value of incumbent and new technologies."
Mark Salveta, head of the business advisory group at NSS, said: "Trustmarque has been a long-standing partner that has consistently delivered value for the NHS boards in Scotland for a number of years. I look forward to working with Trustmarque and developing the relationship further as it continues to deliver software and services to the boards."
