Mike Mason surfaces at avsnet
AVSolution rebrands as it recruits fomrer ABS leadership duo Mason and Anderson
Networking and audiovisual VAR and managed service provider AVSolution has rebranded as avsnet as it appoints former Intrinsic Technology chief Mike Mason as non-executive chairman.
The firm claims the new name provides a better reflection of the wider range of products and services it now provides in both the AV and unified communications world. The Kingston-based business has been in existence for seven years and claims to have grown its sales 40 per cent in 2011.
Mason said: "We have an extremely strong background in delivering videoconferencing and audiovisual solutions. However, this technical expertise is just a part of what our company provides.
"Our customers regularly praise us for our consultative approach, strong project management, and ability to deploy and support converged network and unified communications infrastructures. Therefore we felt avsnet better represents the range of capabilities and strengths of our business."
Also joining avsnet is Justin Anderson, who worked alongside Mason at the helm of Cisco reseller ABS, which was bought by Capita in 2008. Anderson arrives at the AV specialist in the role of commercial director.
