Kaspersky given out-of-this-world message
Cosmonauts congratulate security vendor on its 15th anniversary
A message from outer space has been delivered to Russian security vendor Kaspersky Lab to congratulate the firm on its 15th anniversary.
The video shows cosmonauts inside the International Space Station (ISS) sending their good wishes to the company, which last year laid out ambitions to become one of the world's top three IT security vendors.
Gennady Padalka, commander of ISS Expedition 32, and flight engineer Sergei Revin, sent their good wishes via a video message, congratulating the vendor's role in the field of IT security.
In the video to the security firm, they said: "You guys have not only exited earth's atmosphere in the last 15 years, but have already reached the nearest planet in the galaxy of IT security.
"We are very pleased to see that the rest of the world does not just know Russia for its tanks, planes, and dare I say it, cosmonauts, but also for its high-tech IT security systems."
