Bristol hands out near-£40m IT services contract

Services player Agilisys wins out in bumper ERP back-office integration deal

Bristol City Council has awarded a near-£40m enterprise resource planning (ERP) project contract to Agilisys.

A contract award notice filed on Public Tenders today reveals the council has handed the bumper services deal to the London-based IT services outfit. The notice indicates that Agilisys will integrate the back-office systems.

The value of the contract is pegged at a startlingly precise £33,111,116, excluding VAT, with £965,855 of this set to be outsourced to a third party.

The notice reports that Agilisys fought off bids from four rivals to win the day. The tender process was reportedly weighted 50 per cent towards delivery, 10 per cent towards quality and 40 per cent towards whole-life costs.
