Imago dips toe into specialist recruitment
Video comms distributor adds human resource sourcing arm
Imago Group is launching its own recruitment agency that will headhunt and source audiovisual specialists for vendors and resellers.
Ian Vickerage, managing director of Imago, said its agency, www.Openingz.com, will aim to identify and introduce "quality candidates" in sales, business development and technical specialisms as well as suitable new graduates.
"Our own recruitment requirements have become very demanding over the years," Vickerage added. "And to ensure we maintain the highest standards when selecting staff, we have implemented meticulous selection processes."
Openingz will be led by the company's international recruitment manager Abigail Brown (pictured), who joined in May to look after Imago recruitment in Benelux, France, Spain and the UK.
She will continue in the latter role while developing Openingz, which will be run from the Thatcham office, Berkshire, starting this month.
Brown said the new agency will use, among other methods, psychometric testing and proprietary sales assessments to filter candidates.
"We are already using these selection techniques in our internal recruitment of staff," she added.
"We are ideally qualified to extend this into an agency service aimed at other video communications companies. There is nobody else in what is essentially this specialist sector, and we have a unique understanding of the requirements of vendors and resellers."
