SAP lures developers with mobile programme
Software giant launches new mobile arm of programme to enable partners to create apps
SAP partners will now be able to create and build mobile applications following the launch of the software giant's new dedicated partner programme.
The Mobile Apps Partner Programme, which is available to current partners, helps businesses create both B2B and B2C applications to sell through the SAP store.
It offers a starter package for development licences as well as access to a community of developers.
Mobile developers are being targeted, with a 30-day free trial and Amazon Web Services licence available in order to take advantage of the technology, which Sanjay Poonen, SAP's mobile division president, thinks has become invaluable to businesses.
"Mobile technology has become the touch point that unites the workforce across any organisation, no matter the size," he said. "We recognise that this presents a valuable opportunity for the millions of mobile developers looking for ways to monetise and scale. We have created the easiest path for mobile apps to flourish from inception to market."
Partners will be able to create mobile applications for end users and for internal use within their business using software such as Adobe, Appcelerator and Sencha.
