Azzurri ops chief Clark to take reins at Calyx

Steve Clark to replace Martin Mackay as CEO of Calyx Managed Services

Calyx Managed Services has unveiled Steve Clark as its new chief executive. Clark arrives from his previous post as operations director of Azzurri and will replace incumbent boss Martin Mackay at the end of August.

The outgoing chief has served Calyx since December 2010 when he was installed as boss following Better Capital's acquisition of the troubled services player. Calyx claimed today that Mackay has taken the firm in the right direction, recently delivering 15 per cent annual growth in core business revenue.

Better Capital group chief executive Fiona Timothy said: "The progress the entire team has made has been excellent. On behalf of the board and everyone at Calyx, I would like to thank Martin for what he has done for the business and for leaving us with such a strong foundation for the future."

New head honcho Clark (pictured) was one of the founders of Leeds-based integrator Everlogic in the mid-90s, before its acquisition by Azzurri a decade later. Timothy saluted his leadership credentials.

"Steve's expertise, combined with his firm belief that exceptional customer service is a major cornerstone of business success, make him the perfect choice of leader to drive Calyx into its next stage of growth and development," she said.
