Synaxon ups distributor tally

Dealer group bolsters distribution member stable by three

Synaxon has added a further three distributors to its membership books, bringing the total number to 25.

The addition of network security specialist Tekdata, hardware specialist Euro Options and end-of-life distributor Xeptor gives its reseller members more choice than any other group, the organisation claims.

Derek Jones, managing director of Synaxon UK, said: "We are pleased to have added these three specialist distributors to our family of suppliers. We are continuing with our strategy of steadily growing and adding value and strength to the EGIS platform. The addition of Tekdata, Euro Options and Xeptor gives our members more choice and access to expertise in specific areas of the market.

"They all bring something new and different to the Synaxon UK members.”

At the organisation's second UK National Conference recently, Jones said the group plans to grow members from the present 670 to 1,500 in 2015 and will continue to expand its supplier base.

Synaxon is also hailing the success of its credit account set-up service with supplier partners, which it is now extending.

Anthony Lay, managing director of reseller AML Midlands, praised the scheme:

"Synaxon has, with our agreement, signed us up for more than a dozen new suppliers over the past month. That has saved us a tremendous amount of time, extended the amount of credit available to us and enabled us to start sourcing products from those suppliers through EGIS and that is saving us money," he said.

Jones added: “We are aiming to deliver a professional end-to-end service for our members that helps them to do better business. The sign-on programme has been a great success, not only for our members, but also for our suppliers. We are being approached by potential new suppliers all the time now as they start to hear about the positive results we are delivering.”
