Audiovisual specialist opens London telepresence demo centre

Saville aims to attract London customers with latest investment

VAR Saville Audio Visual has unveiled plans to open a £100,000 telepresence demo facility in the City of London with a view to winning more business.

According to the specialist reseller, the centre on Broad Street is being designed, built and installed by its own team. The news follows a £500,000 investment in demo facilities at its head office in York.

Darren Pitt, southern business manager at Saville Audio Visual, said in a statement: "The telepresence centre is ideally located for our clients and prospective customers in London. The technology is intuitively easy to use and delivers stunning images and natural sound."

Pitt added that the new facility, featuring Polycom ATX kit and three 60in HD screens, and bespoke furniture, will be a "true state-of-the-art" global conferencing facility, illustrating the reseller's capabilities in the design and installation of immersive telepresence systems.

The facility is very near a tube and rail transport hub -- Liverpool Street station. A launch is planned for September.

Last year, the audiovisual supplier opened an executive briefing centre in the City of London.
