ANS Group revenue soars to £47m

Reseller sets £100m target for 2014

ANS Group has increased its turnover by 60 per cent in its last financial year to 31 March 2012, bringing its revenue to £47m, a figure it wants to more than double in just two years.

The Manchester-based reseller, which 18 months ago acquired similar-sized NetApp partner Alpha, saw gross profit grow 61 per cent to £10.6m.

Operating costs grew by 60 per cent to £7.9m, with staff costs accounting for nearly all the increase, bringing the total headcount to 150.

In line with its growth plans to surpass the £100m mark by 2014, the VAR will hire an additional 50 staff across the business, including sales staff, consultants and apprentices.

ANS Group, whose customer retention rate for the year stood at 96 per cent, cited investment in new technology as a key factor behind its growth.

The company's chairman Scott Fletcher said: "We have been delighted with the growth, development, response, and customer adoption of our market-leading Infrastructure i3 solution.

"This industry-leading infrastructure is a fully validated FlexPod design, using Cisco UCS, Nexus switches, NetApp storage and VMware virtualisation. I3 in the cloud, together with our growth in managed services, places ANS in an ideal position to continue our growth plans."

The VAR recently signed a multimillion-pound deal with hotel chain De Vere Group as well as closing a deal with Salford City Council.
