C2000 enlists ex-Ingram marketing boss
Stewart Hayward crosses distributor dividing line
Former Ingram Micro head of marketing Stewart Hayward has joined arch rival Computer 2000 to help the distributor bolster its reseller lead generation activities.
Hayward joins C2000 today in the newly created position of general manager for marketing, having officially left Ingram on Friday following a near two-year stint there.
He was previously commercial director at online reseller WStore before the firm sold up to Systemax.
Talking to ChannelWeb, C2000 commercial director Andy Dow said Hayward would help drive initiatives such as Tech Select, which aims to ensure resellers and vendors are better connected.
"More and more of our marketing is around lead generation for our reseller community. As we grow this, it is key that we strengthen our team and Stewart will be a great asset in the middle of all that," he added.
Hayward said he was impressed by C2000's ability to segment its marketing by reseller type.
"I am excited to be working for C2000 – it has a great customer focus about it and markets the right products to the right target markets," he explained.
