NEC Display Solutions appoints new sales VP

EMEA team gets additional mind to drive regional and channel sales

NEC Display Solutions Europe has added a new sales vice president for EMEA, in the form of audiovisual industry veteran Karsten Winther.

Bernd Eberhardt, chief executive of NEC Display Solutions Europe, said Winther will be based with the EMEA management team in Munich.

"As we increase EMEA-wide sales activities through our valuable partner network, it is critical to ensure that our overall sales and marketing strategies match our partners' growing needs," said Eberhardt in the announcement.

"Winther brings solid expertise in product sales and channel sales strategies, and will help NEC to expand its business partners' effectiveness and profitability."

Winther will lead strategy and operations for regional sales, corporate sales and channel sales teams. One key focus may be digital signage and projection offerings.

He previously spent 10 years at Epson, where he managed complex product lines, pricing strategies, sales strategy planning and business partner agreements. Before that, he worked for IT companies Betech Data and Zitech Computer in Denmark.
