Church appointed Integralis CEO as Magg departs
Former UK boss steps into top job at security player as incumbent chief departs after nine years
Integralis has promoted operations chief Simon Church to the chief executive role, with long-serving incumbent Georg Magg departing the company.
Church (pictured) arrived at the NTT-owned security heavyweight three years ago in the role of UK managing director. In April of last year the former VeriSign and NetIQ executive was installed as chief operating officer.
He now assumes the top job, following the resignation of Magg from both his CEO role and his place on the Integralis board. He has been with the firm since 2003 and has been in charge since 2005. He leaves to "pursue other activities".
A replacement for Church as chief operating officer will not be sought, Integralis indicated. Luc Loos, chairman of the security player's supervisory board, saluted both Magg's contribution and the credentials of the new man in the hot seat.
"We would like to thank Georg for his outstanding achievements in driving Integralis' growth, particularly his role in overseeing the acquisition of a majority shareholding by NTT Communications Group in 2009 and building the strong team that we have today," he said.
"Simon has got to know the company inside and out in his previous roles. We are confident that he is the right person to lead Integralis through the next stage of our global growth; in turn the combination of Simon and [chief financial officer] Heiner Luntz has proven to be a strong management team."
Church added: "These are exciting times for Integralis. With the ongoing partnership with NTT we are in an excellent position to develop and launch new service-led solutions and support our customers worldwide."
