Centrify switches to two-tier channel model
Identity and access management vendor picks Cohort as first UK distributor
Identity and access management vendor Centrify has moved to a two-tier channel model in the UK with the appointment of distributor Cohort Technology.
The agreement will see Cohort push Centrify's DirectControl for Mac and DirectControl for Mobile solutions to resellers.
Centrify, which recently upped its investment in Europe, specialises in improving the security and manageability of Mac systems, iPads, iPhones and Android devices through integration with Microsoft Active Directory.
Cohort managing director Graham Smee said the signing would allow his partners to better serve customers who use Apple products.
"The ability to manage and secure Mac systems via Windows Group Policy is a key differentiator, as is centralised management of all Mac and mobile devices," he said. "We will be adding a great deal of value to the existing Centrify channel through business development, training and our unique channel service offerings."
Darren Gross, EMEA director at Centrify, said: "Centrify is enjoying rapid growth in demand from customers that want to improve both the security and manageability of their non-Microsoft platforms, including Mac workstations and Apple iOS devices and Android mobile devices as the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) phenomenon continues to grow.
"As a result, we have taken the decision to appoint Cohort Technology as our value-added distributor in the UK to assist us in growing our market share through their specialist service offerings and technical expertise."
