CMS and CCI see sales spike in FY11
Distribution double act posts solid-looking accounts
Anglo-Irish distributor CMS Peripherals is on the brink of passing the £100m sales barrier in the UK, recently filed accounts reveal.
Figures for the year to the end of 2011 show that CMS Peripherals Ltd saw sales grow 6.8 per cent to £56.55m. However, operating profit decreased from £608,795 in 2010 to £563,421 last year, meaning operating margins have declined to just shy of one per cent. The firm's staff numbers rose from 61 to 69 over the course of the year.
CCI Distribution, the Harrogate-based storage distributor acquired by CMS in September 2011, entered into new ownership carrying a stellar set of annual results. The company saw revenue increase 19.1 per cent to £39.2m, while the £152,999 operating loss of the prior year turned into a profit of £350,593 in 2011.
The addition of CCI's numbers takes CMS' total UK revenue to £95.7m, with combined operating profit of about £914,000.
