Salford Software throws ARMS towards channel

Higher education-focused VAR looks to build reseller base for its secure access software

Security VAR Salford Software is building a channel to expand adoption of its secure access products beyond their current UK education stronghold.

The identity and access management specialist's Affiliate Record Management System (ARMS) is used mainly by UK higher and further education institutions to provision and deprovision temporary users.

Salford is now looking to break the product into the international market and other verticals in the UK.

It has taken on Nick Fletcher to spearhead the channel push.

Fletcher said: "ARMS solves a universal problem of how to provide access to temporary users, but revoke it once their job is done.

"There are huge opportunities for partnerships taking the product into new markets in the UK such as financial services and energy and utilities, while replicating our success in higher and further education in the new geographies."

Fletcher said Salford has already had interest from partners in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, France, Germany and the Nordic and Benelux regions.
