Five suppliers admitted to Crescent print framework

Three-year agreement gives vendors and VARs access to 1,476 educational institutions

Altodigital, Canon, Ricoh, Danwood Group, and Xerox have been named as preferred suppliers on to the new Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) three-year framework agreement for MFDs, reprographic devices, associated and managed print services, and recycled or refurbished technologies.

The agreement runs from 18 September 2012 to 17 September 2015, and gives the suppliers access to some 1,476 member schools, universities and colleges across the UK.

Andy Hargreaves, regional sales manager at Altodigital, said in a PR statement that belonging to such frameworks is "incredibly beneficial".

"All suppliers on the framework have been through extensive vetting processes, providing members with a pool of reliable, trustworthy suppliers. Prices in the CPC are all fixed by EU framework agreements, making it easier for members to budget for services," Hargreaves said.

He said that Altodigital has been on the Government Procurement Service (GPS) framework for the past four years and also worked with many educational institutions previously. On the CPC framework, it has been awarded two spots, he added, around MFDs and associated print services, and desktop printers.
