RGB takes over Pakedge from Invision

Networking vendor sees more synergies with audiovisual specialist RGB, which also adds ClearOne

Networking hardware manufacturer Pakedge has replaced audiovisual distributor InvisionUK with RGB Communications.

Nick Phillips, vice president for sales and marketing at Pakedge, said RGB will now offer the Pakedge IP networking portfolio.

"Pakedge equipment can be used as standalone devices. However, it provides the best solution when our equipment is sold as part of a technical system that includes other complementary devices.

"RGB represents many more products and brands that integrate with Pakedge equipment and thus can provide a more system-based technical solution," he said in an email.

Phillips added that RGB would give Pakedge exposure to additional markets and dealer segments – most notably the commercial market.

In other news, RGB has just added exclusive rights for ClearOne's Collaborate suite of HD video offerings.
