M2 joins Euro managed print alliance

New association aims to expand synergies and service delivery

London-based M2 has become the first UK reseller to join a new global association for providers of managed print services (MPS).

According to a PR statement, the new Independent MPS Global Alliance (IMPSGA) will bring partners together to work out ways to boost practices and sales across borders.

"It groups managed services-oriented VARs whose main business is focused on delivering independent MPS to mid-size corporations and large enterprises," the announcement said.

Most large and mid-size enterprises prefer to source MPS from independent providers rather than an OEM, it claimed.

"There is not only a strong preference for independent providers to serve this market, but many MPS users have requirements in more than one country," the announcement said.

The other members so far include Ergo from Dublin, Germany's MR Daten Technik, Pulsar Technologies from Spain, Print Partners from the Czech Republic and France's Rio Managed Services.
