Partners play for prizes with Griffin
Poker match highlight of post-MDNX partner day
Griffin Internet hosted a partner day and poker tournament for 100 resellers at Sandown Park racecourse on 2 October.
Channel-only ISP Griffin was recently bought by Bracknell-based carrier integrator MDNX, and as a result MDNX chief executive Mark Thompson was present to give the prizes.
Pictured is Thompson congratulating Nigel Shackleton (right), managing director of networking and comms provider Townley, on winning a 3D TV as first prize in the poker tournament.
"Partners were curious to see what the MDNX acquisition means to them, which may be why so many of them turned up on the day and stayed on for the channel poker tournament and fun casino," the ISP said in a statement.
Griffin's event also showcased new products, looked at the latest relevant ISO standards, and aimed to promote its expanded network, which should give partners access to more Ethernet carriers and more competitive prices.
