Stone nabs bid specialist from rival EE

Group bids and infrastructure services manager Tim Killick joins from European Electronique

Public sector specialist Stone Group has poached a Bids expert from rival European Electronique (EE) to drive its ambitious infrastructure services vision.

Tim Killick (pictured) has taken on the role of group bids and infrastructure services manager with the task of managing tenders from local and central government, and he will also spearhead the Stone Infrastructure Services (SIS) strategy.

Killick joins the company straight from rival education specialist EE, where he was head of bids.

Mick Battle, service director at Stone Group, said: “It is great pleasure to welcome Tim to the team. Tim is a highly experienced sales professional and will be integral in not only managing the bids process for the company, but also driving forward our SIS division.

"Tim has a flair for understanding a client’s vision and developing innovative solutions to meet their needs, so we are thrilled that Tim will collaborate with our customers and prospects to help reach their strategic goals.”

In a statement Killick said: "I’ve joined Stone at such an exciting time. The company has an excellent reputation for providing PCs and associated services to the public sector and I look forward to continuing that success and helping the company grow further.”

Stone is still waiting to appoint a new chief executive, after long-standing boss James Bird officially left the company on 12 October. CRN understands the firm has already drawn up a shortlist of potential candidates.
