DataCore completes distie shake-up with Hammer signing
VAD will distribute DataCore's virtualisation offering from 1 January
Software vendor DataCore has completed its distribution strategy review by appointing Hammer, just one week after the VAD penned a deal to distribute CA Technologies' ARCserve range.
Basingstoke-based VAD Hammer will distribute the vendor's virtualisation product set to resellers from 1 January next year, and will join Avnet in the vendor's distribution line-up.
DataCore waved goodbye to distributor Arrow ECS in the summer following a review process after claiming it was "over-distributed". Avnet's July acquisition of Magirus prompted further downsizing, with the vendor handing the German distie its notice.
Keith Joseph, DataCore's manager of north EMEA, said its finalised distribution line-up provides a "healthy landscape for our partners".
