Fujitsu grooms elite partners for sales acceleration

Vendor earmarks top tier for high-end and mid-market resellers

Fujitsu has unveiled the final tier in its revamped Select channel partner programme, launching its elite Select Value Channel designation at its annual European forum in Munich today.

According to the vendor, this "exclusive tier" of channel partners will be assisted in their drive to provide top-notch customer service, resulting – hopefully – in longer-term customer relationships.

"The company's new Value Channel initiative will drive profitable businesses by meeting the specific needs of their [its] most important customers," Fujitsu said in a statement issued to attending media in advance of the Wednesday announcement.

Enterprise-focused resellers, value resellers, mid-market-focused resellers and SIs in particular will be invited to join the new designation, gaining access to customised skills development, support, mentoring and additional market development resources.

The Value Channel tier will focus on certain product offerings, including high-end Primergy and Eternus kit, Fujitsu virtualisation and SAP HANA appliances.

Initially, channel partners in Austria, France, Germany and Spain would be invited to join the top tier, with other EMEA nations – including the UK – rolled into the programme as 2013 progresses.
