Maxima MD Fisher takes senior Redstone role as deal closes
Integrator's buyout of troubled rival goes through, with all staff and services transferred
Redstone has completed its acquisition of Maxima, with the new addition's boss Fraser Fisher taking on a management role for the expanded company.
The £13.8m deal, which was agreed in September, closed this morning, with all Maxima staff and services transferring immediately to its new owner. Fisher, who arrives as managing director of Maxima, will assume the same role for the enlarged Redstone group. In an open letter, Redstone chief executive Tony Weaver saluted the new man's credentials.
"[Fisher's] expertise in this space will ensure a smooth transition for Maxima customers to Redstone, and also help introduce the wider range of Maxima services into Redstone," he wrote.
Weaver added that the buyout will make Redstone a more formidable player in the managed services space.
"The Maxima acquisition strengthens Redstone's position as a leading provider of network-based end-to-end managed services, technology and infrastructure solutions," he wrote. "Maxima has built an enviable reputation for managed services with some of the UK's leading organisations, and their expertise will complement and strengthen Redstone's managed services offering substantially."
