PSCo managing director departs after 14 months
O'Reilly decides to pursue other opportunities
The managing director of PSCo Technical Distribution, Paul O'Reilly, has left the company after 14 months.
According to group chief executive Stuart Holmes (pictured, above), who will now retake control of the specialist displays distribution arm, O'Reilly left "to pursue other career opportunities".
He did not give any further details.
However, Holmes went on to thank O'Reilly for his efforts. "He made a huge contribution to building the business vision around 'thinking differently', offering a new kind of distribution that creates visual excitement and engagement, and delivering true value to vendors and channel partners," Holmes said.
O'Reilly was quoted in a press statement as saying that he was "immensely proud" of what he had achieved at PSCo and "inspired by the possibility of creating new markets, bringing new technologies and applications to market".
He would aim to follow through on this inspiration in future opportunities, he said.
According to PSCo, he has not yet lined up a new position but is investigating a number of "business ideas".
In other news, PSCo recently invested £1m in expanding its technical distribution arm in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.
The displays specialist said it has appointed Martin Price (pictured, right) as business development manager of the Midlands and the North, and also made other recent hires.
