Oki rolls out managed print initiative

Newest partner programme aims to attract resellers

Print vendor Oki has revealed its new managed print services (MPS) partner programme.

Rob Brown, business manager for MPS at Oki, said MSPs, VARs and stationery suppliers wishing to add MPS are all eligible.

"For many of these companies, MPS is a natural extension of their existing capabilities. However, they may lack the expertise, the right sales skills or the resources to offer the service to their clients," Brown said in a PR statement.

The intention was that the vendor would help partners bridge their knowledge gaps to offer a wider portfolio to customers and "avoid losing business to their competitors", he said.

"This means one invoice from one service provider and one point of contact, instead of having to run print outside the corporate procurement process," Brown added.

Support on offer includes technical and sales training, marketing materials, access to demo units, on-site audits, business case development, savings estimations and flexible billing, he promised. Oki sells only through the channel.
