Fujitsu goes all-out on storage

Vendor targets Eternus growth with Storage First end user and reseller campaign

Fujitsu is launching a UK awareness campaign to build on the growth it is enjoying in the storage market.

According to Gartner, UK sales of Fujitsu's Eternus storage kit hiked by 300 per cent in the second quarter year-on-year – even as overall UK external controller-based disk storage sales tanked 8.8 per cent – and the vendor is keen to strike while the iron is hot.

The programme, which will revolve around Fujitsu's Storage First message, will comprise both end user and channel awareness campaigns.

Storage First's messaging will encourage IT professionals and partners to "blow the whistle" on current storage solutions that fall short on performance, scalability and investment protection for their organisations.

Simon Worsfold, channel and enterprise sales director, Fujitsu UK and Ireland's Technology Product Group, said: "We want to encourage customers to blow the whistle on inadequate solutions, to banish storage that is impossible to scale, to start thinking about the true cost of their environment, how they can put an end to upgrade nightmares, and do away with multiple licence fees."

Fujitsu's partners will be handed a range of sales enablement tools as part of the campaign, including videos, independent product reviews, analyst commentary, case studies, e-books and web banners.
