Microsoft LARs set for EA rebate removal
Vendor announced axing of its deployment and management rebates at partner event last week
Microsoft is making further changes to its Large Account Reseller (LAR) channel pricing structure after announcing the removal of some rebates.
ChannelWeb understands that the vendor announced the removal of its deployment and management rebates from its Enterprise Agreements (EA) at its Inside Track partner event last week. It is believed that incentives will be provided on renewals and true-ups – an asset management and software inventory process.
Microsoft was unavailable for comment at the time of publication, but LARs speaking to ChannelWeb confirmed that they had been informed about the rebate removal.
In May, LARs were left surprised by a 29 per cent price hike in volume pricing in order to align pricing with the euro.
